Tuesday Ride, 12/4

We're going way down south this Tues. Well, not WAY down south, but south of Boulder that is. To the HighPlainsMarshallMesaDoudyDrawCowdreyDraw area. Beer consumption will happen at the Southern Sun. This is one for all you southern folk that can't make it up to the North County to ride. Come spin with us. I think the 29er SS is in order.

How about a meetup time of 6:30pm? Where's the best trailhead to meet? We'll shoot for the Lyons Caravan to depart approximately 5:45pm.

Sure, the one week I can't make it. Postpone a week and I'll be glad to lead.

I'm happy with going 2 weeks in a row. Or, we can do LHC again this week then down south the week after. I don't see a lot of other options in the immediate future. Opinions?

I'd rather do LHC while there is not much snow yet.

After much debate, we are going to proceed with the regularly scheduled programming. Bike shop at 5:45 to meet up at 6pm S of Boulder at the new trailhead that's at the intersection of 93 and the road that goes to Marshall. I'm not sure what it's called, but you get the gist. See you there!

Dave,

I believe the trailhead in question is called the Marshall Mesa trailhead, assuming it's the one on the east side of 93 and located essentially at the intersection of 93 and Eldorado Springs Drive. It a fairly new trailhead, different from the old Marhshall Measetrailhead fro a few years back, which was a ways east up Marshall road. The new trailhead is nice and has a bathroom.

Yep, that's the one. Wear your windsuit!

Hey all,

Not trying to discourage you, but check the weather before you come down. I rode out there this afternoon, and the wind is about a constant 30, with gusts to 40, 50, I don't know how high. Once the sun sets, the winds might calm down a bit. Worst case, you can always just go straight to the Southern Sun.
