USA Pro Challenge is this weekend!

We've just got in a bunch of USA Pro Challenge commemorative water bottles from Boulder's Polar Bottle, another great Colorado company.  Come get yours!

The big race will be rolling thru Lyons this weekend on Saturday 8/25.  We'll be partying down at the bike shop.  Town o Lyons will have big shindigs at Sandstone park, including food, music, beer, and a jumbotron with a live feed of the race.  Come on down to party and watch bike racing with us!

18 Hours of Fruita Done Gone

18 Hours of Fruita. I will definitely attend this race again. Getting ready to head out from the Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont.

Not long on the road and we've got to take a break, OB style. Park the RV on the side of the road and play catch in the ditch.

Arrived at Highline State Park and getting all fired up to race. Racing starts at 12 midnight and goes thru 6pm on Saturday.
The course had 2 major "climbs." This is one of them. I still was able to push a 32x16 all around the course without having to walk.
The Scenery wasn't too bad. Highline St. Park is a true oasis in the desert.

In an 18 hour race, rehydration and recovery are important. Old Chub makes good trail food.
Camp was great

Chef Rog at the top. Last climb, last lap. Time for a beer.
Cycling IS dope.

A thing of beauty. LOTS of 29er singlespeeds. Sweet.

Oh, and happy birthday Chad. How about a light up spinning plastic flower?

Post race was time for 18 road. We wanted something fun, easy, and SS friendly.

Mmmm, good.

What a wonderful day. My, oh, my.

Chad on Zippety. My favorite shot of the weekend.

We weren't the only ones out having fun. The family that rides together stays together.

Over and out. Time for a luxurious ride home in the DPARV.

Lots of Congrats in order

National Championships were in Sol Vista this weekend if you hadn't noticed.

Our own Joe Christiansen got 2nd in his Junior XC race.

The one and only Sam Powers won not one but TWO national titles this weekend! First title was Four Cross and the second title was Downhill, both in Junior Expert. Way to go man.

Also, let us not forget our off road tri brethren. Racing for Redstone sponsored, MORF racing, after spending most of the season in a cast, Greg A placed 1st in his category at the Xterra Tri at Beaver Creak. Our favorite County Trails guy, Mike Rutter, got 4th in his age group, and Vanessa C placed 3rd in hers.

Damn. Good job y'alls!

And we'll have some podium shots of Joe as soon as he turns them over. :)
