Intense Carbine!
For the record, so far I'm LOVING the new Intense Carbine.
Carbon fiber, 5.5 or 6" of travel, 12x142 rear thru axle. Damn, this bike is sweet and rides every bit as nice if not nicer than the oh so awesome Tracer 2. After 12 hours of hard riding in the Phoenix area desert, this bike has been thru about everything I could throw at it. Incredible. Expect a full write up soon!

Intense Tracer 2 in the house!
Finally got our new Intense Tracer 2 in the house.
Had to stick with Formulas "The One" brakes. My favorite brake ever. Note also the replaceable dropouts. I'll eventually be rebuilding the wheel with a hub that can take a 142x12 thru axle :)
And I've been lusting after the Chromag Lynx saddle as well. Done.
There's extra beef on this years Tracer 2. Great tire clearance as well. And holy cow how 'bout those beautiful handmade in the USA welds.
Adjustable 5.5 or 6" of travel. I decided to try out this whole 2x10 thing as well.
Yep, pretty good. Ride report soon!

Pro Downhill Bike Bling, aka Sam's new ride!
In case you haven't heard, our very own Sam Powers has got himself a sweet new PRO sponsorship! The Marzocchi Go Pro Team is 3 young fellas that just graduated out of the junior world to learn a few things and eventually kill it on the pro downhill tour.
Being sponsored by Intense/Marzocchi/Shimano doesn't suck either. Definitely no suckage here. Check Sam's sweet new Intense M9. DAyum!
Good luck in your first pro year Sam. And thanks for letting us drool over your badass new Intense M9 :)
adjustable dropouts
super pimpy and light downhill air shock from Marzocchi
Can't be pro without your own name on a sticker

New, lower MSRP on Intense!
I recently got this from Intense. Great news!
*********************************************************
Hello Intense fans,
I am Intense Cycles proud Director of Operations. One year ago, I joined the Intense team because of their dedication and support of Made in the USA product. When I step onto the production floor each day, I am still in awe that we make these world class bikes right here in Temecula, CA. From CNC machining and welding to final assembly, Intense has truly made a mark on the bicycle industry.
I joined Intense for one reason: to improve their operations for you, the customer. Today, I have the pleasure to tell you that all of the improvements we have made have finally paid off. Three of our favorite models: The Uzzi VP, Tracer VP, and Spider 2 have all had their MSRP's reduced because of the savings we have made out on the floor. Here's the breakdown:
Uzzi VP Old MSRP: $2,420USD New MSRP: $2,199USD
Tracer VP Old MSRP: $2,280USD New MSRP: $1,999USD
Spider 2 Old MSRP: $1,999USD New MSRP: $1,899USD
I don't want this message to be taken lightly. This is not all we've improved at Intense. We continue to improve our product each and every day. We continue to develop new models for your enjoyment. On the back-end, we've increased the headcount in our customer service department to help our customers through any questions they may have. We've widened our domestic dealer base to service more demand than we've ever had before. And the list goes on...
I can't wait for Interbike this year so we can show you what we've got in store for 2011. I hope to see you there.
Best wishes,
Jeff Moates
Director of Operations

Intense Tracer 29!
Here's some shots of Intense's latest creation, the Tracer VP 29. Jeff Steber, headman at Intense has been riding this prototype for a bit. Looking at April availability and pricing will be the same as the 26" Tracer VP.
Here's the highlights from Intense...
• Tapered head tube 1.5” lower & 1.125” integrated top.
• 135mm spacing.
• Adjustable travel from 5” to 5.5”. 7.875” x 2.25” shock. Travel has no effect on geometry.

• 73mm BB width, ISCG-05 tabs are machined with the BB shell (1 pc).
• Easton EA-6X tube set. Monocoque top tube.

• Weight @ 7 lbs w/ rp23 (Md size).
• Front der. compatible. Cable guides for dropper style seat post
• Accepts full-length seat post. Next generation VPP linkages for even better pedaling efficiency. Angular contact bearings and zerk fittings on lower link.

*Setting forward into our latest 29” wheeled bike, the Tracer 29 gives all the benefits of big wheels and VPP with the benefit of long travel. This bike has a more relaxed geometry over the Spider 29. Perfect for an Epic ride or a local trail.
Settings:
• Optimal sag @ 30%. Travel change does affect leverage ratio, so sag will need to be adjusted accordingly. Top hole 5.5”, bottom hole 5”.
Options:

• Color ways; Intense Red, Stealth Black, Works/Raw, Apple Green

Intense Tracer VP for sale
I have absolutely loved my time with my large Intense Tracer VP but the time has come to part ways. It is an absolutely fantastic bike. In many ways, it's been the holy grail that I've seeked for many years. It climbs like a billy goat on crack and descends like a hot rock on a buttery slope. Without a doubt, this bike has made me a better rider.
Why move on, you ask? I dunno. Time for something different. Got my eyes on a 5 Spot now as I'd like to see how it compares. We shall see.
Give me a call or email (dave@redstonecyclery.com) if you're interested. I'm happy to part with this bike as a frame plus a few parts (frame/shock/headset/Thomson seatpost, XTR front der - $1675), or the whole shebang, XTR build and all ($3100). The frame will have the standard Intense warranty as well.

gonna push you over the edge with this one
Just when you were able to push the thought of a new Intense Tracer VP to the back of your mind... Intense just anounced another custom color on their Tracer VP. This time it's black chrome. Think of it almost like a "works" finish in black. It's only available with Intenses XT complete build package. Check it out!
also, remember that Tracer VPs are coming with an ISCG mount standard, now.
