The first cut is the deepest.
Or dent, as it is.
It was a classic hesitation fall: I saw the line, I hesitated, I fell. An added bonus, as if first scratch on the bike wasn't enough, I racked myself so hard I could taste copper.

Ouch. Sorry to see the carnage. Where did it happen?
The ride was near Salida. it was one of those endos where the rear wheel hovers in the air and then comes crashing down to one side. This time on some big pointy rocks. A new sticker would cover most of the scratches, assuming I got that far. The dents a dent. Had to happen sometime!
Ha! I wondered where you found that was dry enough to ride, but makes sense that it was from Salida trip.
Endos hurt. After smashing up my shoulder last summer I've been walking stuff I used to ride just to stay healthy and keep off the IR so I can enjoy summer this time around.
Word on the street, err trail, is that Devils Backbone looks pretty good for weekend riding. Of course with nice weather, spring fever rampant and no other trails likely ready to ride it may be a zoo up there.

My private parts, mostly!

I know someone who has a redstone cyclery sticker that will cover that up nicely.

I've got zero ideas for riding this weekend.
I'm road riding on sunday. Up 7 to Estes and down 36. I'm leaving lyons at 10am.

Maybe I'm skiing again this weekend...
