Road Ride on Sunday

The trails around here are in sloptacular condition, so it's time to break out the skinny tires. Meet up at the shop (NE corner of 4th and Broadway across from the visitor's center) at 8:45 am. I'd say 8:45 sharp, but I'm pretty dull that time of day. We'll ride for a couple hours at a not too tough pace. The route will be decided at the time.

come on out!

The ride was great. Just Greg and I rode, so we decided to spin up South St Vrain Canyon for a bit. We had a headwind most of the way up, so we figured it'd be fast and furious on the way down. It was both. Top speed for me for the day was 48mph, but that was mitigated by brakes due to the unpredictable, super strong cross winds blowing around inside the canyon walls. Who'd have thunk bladed spokes are such a huge factor in the wind? I've got to get some normal wheels built up for the Paramount!
